Tempotimor (Dili): On June 14th 2019, the plane from the Trans Nusa Airlines company officially began its flight (operation) to connect Dili and Kupang, where the launch of the flight was carried out at the International Airport Nicolau Lobato Dili.

This international flight was successfully realized because of the collaboration between the "Air Timor" Aviation Company and Trans Nusa. 

Director of Air Timor Francisco de Oliveira thanked Trans Nusa for showing their readiness in realizing the possibility of this new flight.

"Today we all are here to launch this international flight ... through this decision it can improve the economic, family and diplomacy relations for the people of Timor-Leste and Indonesia. Thus Air Timor would like to thank the director and all the employees of the Trans Nusa company who gave special support to the President of East Timor National Aviation Authority and the Civil Aviation Authority", congratulated Director of Air Timor Francisco after carrying out the launch of the Trans Nusa plane, Friday (14 / 06/2019).

On the same occasion the President of the National Aviation Authority of Timor-Leste (ANATL) Antonio expressed his gratitude to the Government of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste and the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, including the Indonesian Ambassador who has provided support so that international flights could be a reality today.

"As a public company, we are looking for, whichever air companies come here, that would like to support and help to keep the continuation of this flight going forward," he said.

The president also hopes that the presence of Trans Nusa can resolve the ongoing problem of the ticket prices in Timor-Leste. Hoping that Trans Nusa can provide a good price so that it can facilitate a better flight for the two countries in the future.

However, Director of Flight Trans Nusa, Resnandi also expressed his gratitude for the opportunity given to Trans Nusa to operate Dili-Kupang-Dili which received great support from the Flight Industry in Timor-Leste.

"It is true that this operation is the hope that the two of us can be an economic engine between the two countries Timor-Leste and Indonesia", said the director.

He also guarantees that the new air transportation can facilitate goods to Timor-Leste much quicker which will assist the economies of both countries.

Based on the plan, the Trans Nusa plane Dili-Kupang route Dili will operate twice a week, Monday and Friday. The Trans Nusa aircraft has the capacity to load 72 people, including Pilots and seven technical officers.
