Tempotimor (Dili) – The President of Aliens for change and Progress (AMP/Alianca Mudanca Progresu) Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão was not present on the first day of the AMP Conference held at the Terra Santa Hotel, Rai-kotu-Dili.

The AMP conference with the theme "Consolidation of AMP to better serve the community” was held for two days, Saturday (15/06) to Sunday (16/06), with the aim of evaluating the Work Performance of the Government.

On the first day the conference was closed to the public and was not attended by the President of AMP, Xanana Gusmão.

For this matter, the President of the CNRT Faction Duarte Nunes said, Xanana Gusmão knew about this AMP Conference but he was not present because of other activities.

"Maun Boot (Xanana) as President of AMP, knows about this conference, but because he has other activities he is unavailable. He said because the Secretary General (Kalbuadi) as General Coordinator of the AMP steering council always updated information to Him He would've known, "Duarte said at the conference venue on Saturday (15/06)

Responding to the matters discussed at the AMP conference, Duarte said there were many things, but the most important was evaluating the work Performance of the Government.

"There are many discussion, and there will also be evaluations, and these evaluation are important, and these are results that you (journalists) will see at the Media Conference," said Duarte.

Although this conference was closed to the public, the effects of the speech from Prime Minister Taur Matan Ruak on this conference began to emerge from the Terra Santa.

In His remarks, PM Taur did not elaborate on the problems faced by the Government so far, but in diplomacy the PM acknowledged the challenges and impacts, and also the sought-after solutions.
