DILI – For the second year in a row, Bintang beer gives a boost to Timor-Leste’s music scene by bringing the best artists in the country together to perform at Bintang Festival 2018.
More than 10 bands and acts in total will entertain Baucau (21.07.), Maliana (04.08.) and will unite with famous Indonesian Rock band, Jamrud, for an epic Finale in Dili, Tasi Tolu on 18.08.2018.
This year, the up and coming group, New Comer Killer, have joined in the line up together with renowned brands - Galaxy, Klamar, Alcatraz and Moriveu. These headliner acts will rock the events and enthrall Timorese music fans.
In the municipalities, local bands like X-Cruz, a Maliana-bred band, will rock the stage and bring some local flavour into the performance; giving selected young local bands have the chance to join veteran musicians on stage as well.
Another musical highlight is certainly that famous band Inferno will come back together to perform at Bintang Festival 2018. This is a one of the key highlights, which many fans have been eagerly anticipating for a long time.
Particular focus of Bintang Festival 2018 are collaborations, shown to perfection by Hip Hip acts Black Jesuz and Jano Viegas, joined by DJ Ageng in Dili. This “Togetherness Spirit” led to the creation of the Bintang song “Hamutuk ho Bintang” and a professional music video shoot by many of the artists.
